Research interests

Saleh Mulhem leads the research field Dependable Computing at the ITI, with the groups Secure Computing and Reliable Computing. He develops hardware-based solutions for trustworthy computing: secure and safe processors, efficient cryptographic accelerators, new hardware-based device identities, and verifying the function and security of whole computing platforms.

  • Dependable computing platforms and security by design
  • Hardware security: hardware Trojans, side channels, hardware roots of trust
  • Trustworthy AI accelerators and post-quantum cryptography in hardware
  • Reliability in electronics and design for testability
