Would you like to work as a student or research assistant at the Institute of Technical Computer Science? Here you will find all the important information and documents for your employment and duties.

Employment

The following form must be completed and submitted digitally.

1.      Employment of student/research assistant

2.      Declaration on the verification of exemption or obligation for insurance 

3.      If applicable, application for exemption from pension insurance 

4.      Certificate of enrollment for the employment period 

If you have never been employed at the University of Lübeck before, we also require:

5.      A copy of your birth certificate 

6.      Proof of current health insurance 

7.      A copy of your social security card 

8.      If applicable, a copy of your bachelor’s degree certificate 

The following details must be entered on page 1 of the form „1. Employment of student/research assistants” in the lower field:

  • Clinic/Institute
  • Administrative contact
  • Employment duration (from/until)
  • Average monthly working hours 

Please ensure all required information on page 2 is completed!

Timesheet

Submit the time recording sheet for your working hours to the secretariat (sekretariat(at)iti.uni-luebeck.de) by the 7th of the following month. Please ensure that you meet the required number of hours. Overtime will not be compensated, and negative hours may result in a salary deduction.

If you notice that:

  • less work is available and the required hours cannot be fulfilled
  • you are unable to complete the agreed-upon working hours
  • more work arises that cannot be completed within the agreed working hours

you should promptly arrange a meeting with your supervisor.

Occupational Safety

Workplace safety is of utmost priority. Therefore, it is important that you familiarize yourself with the following aspects of occupational safety:

  • Safety Training: Regulations and training on workplace safety.
  • Fire Safety Training: Measures and behavior guidelines in case of fire.
  • Accident Log Entry: Documentation of accidents and incidents in accordance with legal requirements. Available under the occupational safety section.

Insurance 

For your role as a research assistant, you should familiarize yourself with insurance matters. Here you will find information on:

  • Insurance Coverage: Details on the existing insurance coverage during your employment with us. This can be found under the Personnel section.
